Generator, Ottawas Digital Media Cluster is holding its first annual VC Bootcamp. This is your opportunity to participate in a one day session where entrepreneurial minded people from Ottawa's technology and VC sector will coach and mentor you on how to secure funding and partners for your startup company or projects. The three most promising company proposals will be given the opportunity to pitch in front of a group of VCs at a future event.

Bio's
Andrew Fisher, Executive Vice President Wesley Clover Technologies
As Executive Vice President of new venture creation, Andrew Fisher is responsible for new venture creation. He currently manages multiple assets within the portfolio and is responsible for government and University outreach programs globally. In addition, Andrew runs the Mitel Affiliate program that is responsible for identifying and commercializing gaps in existing portfolio investments. He co-founded NewHeights Software Corporation, sold in 2007, where he managed all Service Provider, large enterprise, and vertical market accounts.
Leveraging Wesley Clovers global technology portfolio of over a dozen companies, Andrew spearheads the corporations solutions strategies which reach from the networks core to the end user experience, incorporating Voice-over-IP, IPTV, Unified Communications and IP Multimedia Subsystem technologies.
Andrew has an academic background in both economics and computer science and engineering and is a graduate of the University of British Columbia. Previous to Wesley Clover, Andrew has held production roles within the Canadian Department of National Defense and Natural Resources Canada.
Phil VP Business Development at Magmic Games
Prior to joining Magmic during its early stages, Phil worked extensively with large media companies, which included playing key roles in producing content for Warner Brothers, MTV, and NBC. Phil also worked in business development functions at leading telecommunications and Internet pioneers Nortel, Bell, AOL and Netscape Communications. Phil applies his industry knowledge to help strategically position Magmic in the market and lead its new business development activities.
